Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute

On 1 September 1898 the Agricultural College, the first of its kind in South Africa, opened its doors, graduating its first diplomas at the end of the first academic year of June 1899.

As from 1 April 2004 Elsenburg College of Agriculture became known as the Cape Institute for Agricultural Training: Elsenburg.
