What is a Psychometric Test?

A psychometric test is usually used in the HR department or during the recruitment process. It’s an efficient way to learn about the candidate’s personality and way of thinking.
Most tests these days are conducted online and usually take about 15 to 20 minutes.

These tests help the recruiter decide if the candidate will fit into the company and workplace well.
It also tests to see if employees have the aptitude for certain training. This helps the company ensure they are spending their money on the right people.

Other areas that can be tested are:

  • How the candidate will react in a specific workplace
  • How the candidate will handle pressure or conflict

Please note, there is no pass or fail. It’s not that kind of test.

What does a Psychometrist do?
