What is a Scale Fitter?

A Scale Fitter is a person who specialises in installing, repairing and calibrating different kinds of scales.

Scales can be really tiny and used in the medical or chemical jobs or they can be huge and be found in the agricultural industry. 

Almost every business has some sort of scale.

How do I become a Scale Fitter?

Some large scale manufacturers may offer ‘fitting’ courses.

Contact your local scale company and enquire if they do and when.  If you show that you’re keen – they might even take you on as an apprentice.
