What is a Jewellery Designer?

Jewellery Designer’s job is to design and make jewellery using a variety of materials (eg gold, silver and precious and semi-precious stones). Some pieces can be one-offs creations or designed and made for mass production. 

Depending on the designer, some pieces may have a great sentimental significance or symbolic meaning.

Some Jewellery Designers use specialist companies to provide some of the different stages of the making process.
