Child Psychologist
A Child Psychologist focuses on the world that children find themselves living in. Whether it’s child rape or neglect, it is the Child Psychologist who works with the child to help them overcome the trauma. It is important as a Child Psychologist to be able to calm children in order to earn their trust and enable them to discuss their trauma.
Clinical Psychologist
As a Clinical Psychologist, you would work with people with psychological difficulties such as anxiety, depression, phobias, eating disorders or relationship problems. You could specialise in work with a particular group, such as children, young offenders or older adults.

Counsellors work in many different fields. Counsellors help people or groups of people to understand their problems and work towards setting goals and solutions for these problems. Counsellors assist people to manage their lives better, to instil confidence and give them the emotional tools to cope.
Industrial Psychologist
Industrial Psychologists usually work in the workplace. They are found in the HR department. They generally focus their attention to workers personalities and performances or the relationships between staff members.
Psychiatrist
The main difference between a Psychologist and a Psychiatrist is that a Psychiatrist can prescribe drugs to help the patient with their problem and a Psychologist may not. A Psychiatrist diagnoses and treats children and adults who suffer from mental or emotional or behavioural problems.
