Can IERT Engineering Diploma students apply for government jobs

Can IERT Engineering Diploma students apply for government jobs as a regular graduation(bcom or ba) passout student can do ? i mean, i wanted to know the common exams/jobs which both an IERT diploma student and Simple graduate student is eligible for ?

We assume you are referring to the Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology Diploma? This is a foreign qualification and to assess whether it is recognised and what level it is you need to communicate with the SOUTH AFRICA QUALIFICATIONS AUTHORITY (SAQA) The department you need to liaise with is the Directorate: Foreign Qualifications Evaluation and Advisory Services (DFQEAS) and you can do that here:
