I want to apply for Medicine for 2017 but where can I study and what do I have to do?
You are right in preparing now because Medicine has unusual rules and deadlines for applying. There is a lot of competition for few places, so it is a good idea to apply to more than one university and for more than one course of study. If you miss out in 2017, taking a lesser course of study may mean that if you do well, your results may provide you with a better opportunity in 2018.
- Make sure you know where to apply. See the list of Universities offering Health qualifications, below.
- Choose 3 universities in case you are not successful at the first 2.
- Check whether you meet the requirements. Please note: The marks given are usually the MINIMUM allowed but applicants who score higher are often the first in. There are some concessions for disadvantaged students.
- Find application dates and forms and complete before the deadline
- Register for the National Benchmark Test and make sure you write before their deadline.
