Over the last eight years, the SAB Foundation has committed over R58 million towards social innovation, including providing 163 social innovation and disability empowerment businesses with funding and business development support.
The SAB Social Innovation and Disability Empowerment Awards is a chance for innovators, who are solving social problems, to enter their business, service or product into the awards. You stand a chance of winning grant funding, tailor-made business mentoring and the opportunity to connect with like-minded innovators and become part of an exclusive alumni group.

The Disability Empowerment Awards
These are aimed at social enterprises with innovative solutions that uplift people with disabilities by promoting equality, accessibility and inclusivity, while generating enough revenue to become sustainable enterprises over time.
The Social Innovation Awards
These are aimed at innovators, social entrepreneurs, institutions and social enterprises with prototypes or early-stage businesses that solve a social problem. These innovations should directly address the challenges faced by low-income women, youth, people living with disabilities, or people living in rural areas.
