Not everyone is suited to a traditional academic school environment – and there are really good options available for those who prefer a more hands-on approach to learning.
There are 2 paths available for vocational training at TVET colleges.
1. Start in grade 10
- National Certificate Vocational NC(V) or
- NATED (N1-3): Engineering track

It is also possible to start the NATED N4 track with a grade 11 if you have a minimum pass of 50% in maths. Entry with matric is possible with maths or maths literacy.
