What is an Audiologist?
An Audiologist is a professional healthcare worker who deals with children and adults to diagnose, evaluate, treat and assist those with hearing loss and other related issues.
What does an Audiologist do?
- tests babies, children and adult for hearing loss or other hearing problems
- operates specialised audiometric equipment
- interprets test results
- diagnoses and evaluates problem/s
- fits, tests and supplies hearing aids and cochlear implants
- keeps up to date with technology and research
- studies disorders affecting hearing and balance
- manages staff
- keeps detailed patient records

Complete a Bachelors of Sceince degree (BSc) in Audiology
