Environmental Educator
They are trained naturalists and work in environmental centres where they lead guided hikes and arrange educational programmes. Other tasks they perform include map reading, first aid, but most importantly, running educational programmes at national and local parks and nature reserves. They prepare teaching material on environmental topics and offer courses; they also prepare and conduct laboratory observation sessions to learn about nature and ecosystems. They also prepare exams and laboratory assignments for students on environmental topics, and direct and conduct environmental research programmes. They prepare and compile environmental training modules for other staff in the industry and government sectors and further co-ordinate environmental education programmes for schools and community education.
