Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The main job of a Nuclear Medical Technologist is to give radioactive drugs to patients help doctors determine the nature of the patient’s sickness. They are often found in cancer units. This is a very responsible job.

Radiographer

A Radiographer may also be called an X-ray Technician. Radiographers use very sophisticated, high-tech equipment. They X-ray the patient’s body and then send the images to the Radiologist to ‘read’ so that they can determine what treatment is required for the patient.

Radiologist

A Radiologist is a specialised medical doctor who analyses and interprets medical images like MRI’s, CT scans, Ultrasounds and X-rays etc. Even though the Radiographer takes the images, the Radiologist still needs to know and understand how to operate all the equipment.
