What is an Analyst Programmer?

If IT (information technology) is a passion and you are an analytical thinker then becoming an Analyst Programmer is a career to consider.

Having the ability to process problems for application to electronic data processing systems is just a part of this job.

You will need the ability to analyse user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.

What does an Analyst Programmer do?

  • tests, maintains and monitors computer programs and systems
  • installs new programs and systems.
  • liaise with clients regarding processing requirements

  • improves work flow
  • trains staff
