What is an Animal Scientist?
Animal Science is the ‘study of the biology of animals’. All animals can be studied. For example: farm animals, exotic animals, wild animals or animals bred for pets. An Animal Scientist will experiment and study information about breeding, animal behaviour, production, diets, business and animal care.
What does an Animal Scientist do?
- studies and research special breeding practices so that the business is run well

- shares information with other scientists, farmers, etc

How do I become an Animal Scientist?
Degrees in Animal Science are offered at lots of colleges and universities. At some Universities, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Animal Science includes a Pre-Veterinary Medicine choice. In most cases, a Masters degree is preferable.
Required school subjects: Mathematics and Physical Science.
