Careers in science?

CAREER CHANGING: I’m 30 years old and hate my job. A year ago I had a wake up call and realized that I need to do something else as I can’t envision myself having this existence for the rest of my life. I am at the cross roads. What next?

I have chosen my career and would love to do job shadowing but i have no idea how to go about making it happen, so i was wondering if Career Planet would please tell me what to do.

I want to become an entrepreneur but I also want to study social work because I love helping people.

I want to become an Entrepreneur or a Social Worker. I don’t know what kind of business field I want to be involved in or where to start. I also want to study social work because I love helping people and I want to be involved in aiding people with the many social ills that we have in our society such as drug abuse, living with HIV and so on.

I’m interested in biology career paths. But careers like zoology, veterinary science, nature conservation and botany require Mathematics and Physical Science.
I completed my matric in 2013, the subjects I took were English 73%, Afrikaans 72%, Mathematical Literacy 76%, Life Orientation 76%, Business Studies 70%,Life Science 70% and Consumer Studies 76%. I’m currently obtaining my N1 in Mathematics at FET College. I was wondering if there are any Universities which offer bridging courses in physical science.

I’m interested in the IT field. Would like information on how to get training and what companies are offering internships or entry level jobs.

QUANTITY SURVEYING: I am thinking about Quantity Surveying as a career. Can you tell me more about it and what I have to study at school and later to get into that career.
